Operation Steps & Interpretation
1. Sample Collection
- Nasal: Gently insert the swab 2.5 cm into one nostril and rotate it five times. Repeat the process in the other nostril.
- Nasopharyngeal: Carefully advance the swab to the posterior nasopharynx, rotate it, and leave it in place for a few seconds.
- Oropharyngeal: Gently rub the swab over the tonsils and the back of the throat, taking care to avoid the tongue and teeth.
2. Sample Preparation
Put the swab into the extraction buffer tube and rotate it 8 to 10 times against the tube wall. Squeeze the swab to release the liquid and then dispose of it.
3. Testing
Place three drops of the specimen into the "S" well of the test device. Read the results after 10 minutes (results are invalid after 20 minutes).
