Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a hormone produced by cells that are surrounding a growing embryo (syncitiotrophoblast initially), which eventually forms the placenta after implantation.The presence of hCG is detected in some pregnancy tests (HCG pregnancy strip tests). Some cancerous tumors produce this hormone; therefore, elevated levels measured when the patient is not pregnant may lead to a cancer diagnosis and, if high enough, paraneoplastic syndromes, however, it is not known whether this production is a contributing cause, or an effect of carcinogenesis. The pituitary analog of hCG, known as luteinizing hormone (LH), is produced in the pituitary gland of males and females of all ages.

Product Overview

Because the amount of a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in your body increases rapidly during the first two weeks of pregnancy, the test midstream will detect the presence of this hormone in your urine as early as the first day of a missed period. The test midstream can accurately detect pregnancy when the level of hCG is between 25mIU/ml to 500,000mIU/ml.

TEST PROCEDURE FOR PREGNANCY (hCG) RAPID TEST

Read the entire procedure carefully before performing any tests.

Allow test device and urine samples to equilibrate to room temperature (20-30℃ or 68-86℉) prior to testing.

Remove the test device from the sealed pouch.

Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 3 full drops of urine to the specimen well of the test Device, and then begin timing.

Wait for colored lines to appear. Interpret the test results at 3-5 minutes.
